Exhibition Space

My entire project is at its core is me capturing photographs of spaces and externalizing my internal thoughts through writing. So in addition to the photographs, prints, and text, I’d like to create a space surrounding the exhibit for people to sit down and enjoy the work, or to simply just relax and chat.

This aspect of the work channels my love of architecture and the design of spaces and industrial design. This would be more of a technical exercise with a conceptual addition.

Below are pieces of art that I saw at Brooklyn Museum, some being form Virgil Abloh’s Figures of Speech. Abloh’s work has always been inspiring, from a fashion standpoint and an architectural one. It was truly fascinating to see someone who comes from an architectural background create such captivating works of art and fashion.

For the look of the pieces, I would a bit of a modern yet rustic look, using strictly exposed plywood, hardware, and simple finishes. If I cannot build it, I will at least find something that I enjoy and thinks that works with the space.
